By registering a team for the ParaTough Cup, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
1. Eligibility
All participants must be aged 16 years or older on the day of the event.
Teams must consist of 10 registered participants, including a designated Team Captain.
Participants should have a reasonable level of physical fitness, as the event involves physical activities.
Participants must wear closed in sports shoes suitable for indoor basketball courts.
2. Registration and Payment
Team registration is not confirmed until the completed registration form is received and accepted by Paralympics Australia.
Registration may be limited and is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The registration fee is $5000 per team, and teams are encouraged to minimum fundraising goal of $1,000 to support Paralympics Australia.
3. Fundraising
Teams are actively encouraged participate in fundraising efforts and to meet the minimum target by the event date.
Teams will be provided with a fundraising toolkit and a dedicated online fundraising page.
Funds raised will go directly to Paralympics Australia and support programs that empower Australian Paralympians.
4. Conduct and Safety
Participants agree to behave in a respectful, inclusive, and sportsmanlike manner at all times.
Discrimination, harassment, or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.
All participants must comply with instructions from event staff, volunteers, and facilitators.
Safety briefings and instructions must be followed to ensure the wellbeing of all participants.
5. Accessibility and Inclusion
Paralympics Australia is committed to an inclusive event environment.
Teams are encouraged to include participants with disability.
Please indicate any accessibility requirements during registration so appropriate arrangements can be made.
6. Photography, Filming and Media Consent
By entering the event, participants grant permission for Paralympics Australia and its partners to use photographs, video, or audio recordings taken during the event for promotional and marketing purposes.
If a participant does not wish to be filmed or photographed, they must inform the organisers in writing prior to the event.
7. Risk and Liability
Participation in the ParaTough Cup involves physical activities that carry inherent risks.
Participants acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to sign a Participant Waiver prior to taking part.
Paralympics Australia will take reasonable steps to ensure participant safety, but shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage suffered during the event except where caused by negligence.
8. Cancellations and Changes
Paralympics Australia reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the event due to weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances.
In such cases, registered teams will be notified as soon as possible and efforts will be made to reschedule the event.
Fundraising donations are non-refundable.
9. Privacy
Information collected through registration will be used in accordance with Paralympics Australia’s [Privacy Policy](insert link).
Personal details will be used solely for the purposes of event coordination, fundraising support, and post-event communications.
10. Acceptance
By submitting the team registration form, the Team Captain confirms that:
All team members have been made aware of and agree to these Terms and Conditions;
All participants will complete the Participant Waiver prior to the event;
The team will uphold the values and spirit of the ParaTough Cup and Paralympics Australia.
